In 2013, the sustainable fashion industry left a lot to be desired. However, while a novel concept back then, there were a handful of forward-thinking brands proving “sustainable” and “animal-friendly” could actually be fashionable.
Even so, dispelling the myth that sustainable fashion wasn’t granola was a rather ambitious task. Determined to elevate this image, through our luxury fashion and sustainable lenses, we created Fashion. With a Side of Granola. Featuring brands committed to making fashion more sustainably, both these brands and our creative team proved you didn’t need to compromise ethics for aesthetics. At all.
Fast forward, as consumers have become aware of the human, animal and environmental costs associated with their purchases, the terms “sustainable”, “conscious”, “ethical” and “green” are now marketing gold. Pre-conceived notions gone, this has lead to influx of new brands developing even newer technologies that embrace the beauty of more conscious solutions. And greenwashing aside, we are seeing one of the most polluting industries on the planet evolve.
No small task, yet by taking our fashion with a side of granola we’re shifting perspectives and inspiring massive ripples of change!
